Reasons to Buy a Clover Villa in Spain

You recently asked me to let you know of the reason why I decided to purchase a Clover Estates Villa and move to Limaria.
On my retirement we bought a Quad Town House on an Urbanisation in the Alicante area (Santa Pola Gran Alacant). After about a year in Spain by which time we overcame the bureaucracy experienced by most expats’ in coming to terms with a new way of life and getting the necessary legal documents to reside in Spain. We then decided that Spain was ideal for our retirement except the area where we lived. Alicante and the surrounding areas we found far too commercialised for our likeness. The area catered primarily for the tourists and the majority of houses on my urbanisation as it is in most of the surrounding areas are primarily holiday homes, consequently to develop any form of community spirit was impossible, because at the end of the holiday season the majority of owners returned to their permanent homes in the UK or wherever, having made life unbearable throughout the holiday season for the few who were unfortunate to be in permanent residence.
Having lived in Alicante for just over two years we decided the time had come to move on and most importantly away from the area. Our criteria for our new home/location was as follows:-
• A three bedroom villa
• Manageable size garden
• Swimming Pool
• Majority of the owners in permanent residence
• A good community spirit
• The area should look like what one imagine Spain to look like
• Good design and construction of property and finished to a high standard
• Reasonable priced crucial
• Scenic located.
• Places of interest to visit within a reasonable distance
• Opportunity for social activities readily available
• Be near an Airport
• Modern shops and Supermarkets
We spent about six months searching East; West, North and South of Alicante for our ideal home to no avail. Some of the properties we found were of poor design and unsatisfactory construction and finish. Properties of a reasonable standard were far beyond our means. We were just about to give up on our dream home when by chance we came across Clover Estates on the Internet. On our first visit to your office and subsequent visit to Limaria we knew that what your Company offered would eventually allow us to “live the dream”
Finally we are entirely happy with our chosen Villa set in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains and we have made some wonderful friends of a similar age group.
