Cantoria
Standing on a fertile plain is the famous marble producing town of Cantoria. Cantoria is noted in the area for its uniformity and straight streets and roads, an unusal feature in a traditioanl Andalucian town. Nearby is another marble producing town, that of Olula del Rio, and as with Cantoria is rightly proud of its marble producing heritage.
This evidenced by the fact that the local church is completely faced in marble. Along with several archaeological sites, the Verde Olula and Cueva de Humosa amongst others, make this a most interesting area to vist.
